Brotherly Country Bangladesh Celebrates the Victory Day
People of Bangladesh, whose hearts beat for us, who are far away from us yet live in our hearts, celebrate Victory Day. The people of Bangladesh, who have fought relentlessly against imperialism and sacrificed millions of lives for independence, are enjoying this victory today.
The leader of the independence of the Bangladeshi people, Sheikh Mucibur Rahman, sacrificed his life for his country, and the people of Bangladesh have not forgotten this supreme sacrifice.
That’s why the people have embraced him and placed him in their hearts as Bangabandhu (Friend of the Bengali nation). More than 50 years have passed since the difficult struggle of the Bangladeshi People, which ended in victory on December 16, 1971.
During this time, the Brotherly People of Bangladesh, on the one hand, repaired the destruction and disasters caused by the war; on the other hand, they struggled with the poverty imposed on them by imperialism.
While today’s Bangladesh is taking firm steps towards development, on the other hand, it continues to win the world’s appreciation for its commitment to democracy, parliamentary administration, and the ways it has achieved equality between men and women.
Today’s 170 million Bangladeshi citizens, whose only goal is to give importance to peace and good neighborly relations, are now united in a single goal. It is to develop, not fall behind in modernity, and contribute to world peace. Under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, who has become the leader of her people, who treats them with motherly affection, and who has served as prime minister four times, Bangladesh is taking decisive steps towards reaching its goals.
